The fixed header every callback-interface vtable starts with, in this order and at these offsets ({prefix}_..._vtable in C).

Fields

size: u32

sizeof the whole vtable as the consumer compiled it.

flags: u32

Reserved; consumers set it to 0.

free: unsafe extern "C" fn(ctx: *mut c_void)

The consumer’s release hook, called exactly once (from any producer thread) when the producer drops its last reference to the callback.
